Dillon Murphy

Dillon supports clients with a variety of intellectual property matters, including the preparation and prosecution of patents. Dillon also has experience in all aspects of IP litigation, including prior art searching, invalidity/non-infringement claims, summary judgment motions, depositions, trial, and post-trial briefing.
Dillon’s technical expertise spans a diverse range of industries, including autonomous vehicles, 4G and 5G telecommunications, group-based messaging platforms, cloud computing, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
Prior to joining Lee & Hayes, Dillon served as a Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the area of printers, facsimiles, cryptography, and image processing. This experience provides him with a unique and valuable perspective including an in-depth understanding of how examiners interpret and apply patent law, assess prior art, and evaluate patentability. Additionally, his technical expertise enhances his ability to engage deeply with complex inventions in these fields and effectively advocate for patent protection on behalf of his clients.
