Hala Mourad has been recognized in the 2026 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America®  for her work in  Litigation - Intellectual Property.

Hala focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation matters. She has extensive experience in complex intellectual property litigation in Federal District Court and the U.S. International Trade Commission. Her experience includes all stages of litigation from pre-litigation investigations through trial and appeal. Hala works with clients to litigate patents and other intellectual property spanning various technologies including consumer electronics, lithium-ion batteries, medical and surgical devices, telecommunications, and other electrical and mechanical technologies.

Hala is also a registered patent attorney and has experience in contentious patent proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, including post-grant proceedings under the America Invents Act. She has also handled patent prosecution matters, including preparing and prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Hala also has experience performing due diligence investigations and counseling clients on the intellectual property-related aspects of a wide range of corporate transactions.

Prior to joining Lee & Hayes, Hala worked at several leading international law firms practicing intellectual property law. Before beginning her legal career, Hala worked as a civil engineer at a national engineering firm.

Hala has been recognized as a top legal practitioner in intellectual property litigation. She is recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Litigation - Intellectual Property and is named to the Legal 500 Elite Atlanta.
