Ivona is a registered patent attorney who works closely with clients to protect and defend their intellectual property rights while navigating the complexities of high-stakes disputes. Her practice focuses on areas of intellectual property litigation, which has included matters involving patents, trademarks, copyrights, and other complex intellectual property disputes. Ivona has contributed to matters before federal courts, as well as the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), bringing experience managing the technical and procedural complexities of cases from early case development through discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation. Her work includes managing large-scale discovery and developing litigation strategies in matters involving sophisticated technologies.

In addition to her litigation practice, Ivona has experience advising clients on trademark protection, brand enforcement strategies, and portfolio management. She has also represented parties in proceedings, such as oppositions and cancellations, before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB). Ivona has further experience handling domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), assisting clients in protecting their brands against cybersquatting and unauthorized domain name registrations.

Ivona’s legal experience spans both the public and private sectors. While attending law school, she served as a judicial intern for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, where she conducted research, analyzed case law and statutory frameworks, and drafted judicial opinions and orders. Ivona also served as an extern for a multinational data analytics and consumer credit reporting company where she worked along in-house counsel managing the global trademark portfolio. Prior to joining Lee & Hayes, Ivona was an associate at a boutique intellectual property firm in Atlanta.
