Pooya Shoghi is an experienced Of Counsel and Head of the AI Committee at Lee & Hayes, where he focuses his practice on intellectual property and technology related issues across a broad spectrum of software and electronic technologies, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence. Combining legal expertise with technical knowledge, Pooya provides comprehensive counsel to clients navigating complex technological landscapes.

Drawing on his computer science background, Pooya protects innovations in diverse areas including cloud computing, communication networks, circuit design, semiconductor technology, and AI-driven systems. He excels in drafting and prosecuting patent applications for software and electronic technologies, with specialized expertise in machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and other advanced computing solutions.

Beyond patent work, Pooya specializes in a wide range of technology-related legal matters, including licensing agreements, software development contracts, data processing agreements, data governance, and regulatory compliance. His practice encompasses both traditional software applications and emerging technologies, providing guidance on intellectual property protection, technology transactions, governance frameworks, and compliance issues. 

Pooya earned his Juris Doctor with Honors from Emory University School of Law and holds bachelor’s degrees in computer science and political science from Georgia State University, both completed with summa cum laude distinction. He is admitted to practice in Georgia, New York, California, and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
