Kirk Zhao

Kirk focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation matters. He has significant experience in complex patent and trademark cases before Federal District Courts. With a background in physics, he is comfortable at navigating a wide array of technology sectors, having represented clients in industries such as consumer electronics, medical devices, telecommunications, and pharmaceuticals.
In addition to his work in IP, Kirk has substantial expertise in handling complex commercial disputes, including antitrust, securities, and cybersecurity litigation. Drawing on his broad litigation experience, he provides clients with strategic counsel on assessing litigation risks and developing effective risk-mitigation strategies.
Before joining Lee & Hayes, Kirk honed his skills at both an AmLaw 100 firm and a prestigious boutique complex litigation firm. There, he worked directly with partners from BigLaw firms, gaining invaluable experience in litigating high-stakes cases and achieving client objectives at the highest level.
Outside of work, Kirk enjoys playing tennis in ALTA and USTA leagues, traveling, and spending time with his family.
