Successful candidates will have three or more years of patent preparation and prosecution experience. Greatly prefer a Ph.D. in any of the life sciences.  Must have a registration number with the USPTO.

Accounting Specialist - Spokane, Washington

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Responsibilities of this position include:
  • Assisting with month-end billing and closing processes.
  • Processing accounts payable including vendor payments and expense reports.
  • Performing semi-monthly payroll activities.
  • Completing account reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Monitoring accounts receivable and processing bank deposits.
  • Responding to client inquiries, both internal and external.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business discipline is preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior accounting experience preferred.
  • Prior experience working with clients/customers and vendors.
  • Must have an exemplary customer service mindset, be highly motivated, and enjoy a team-oriented atmosphere. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) with all levels of personnel while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Perform with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize. 
  • Must work well under pressure and handle interruptions while maintaining flexibility in work assignments.
  • Must possess strong technology skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
