Brett is the chair of the Chemical and Life Sciences Practice Group at Lee & Hayes. He advises clients in a variety of intellectual property (IP) matters, with particular experience in the areas of chemical engineering, microbial engineering, vaccine technology, green technology, and cosmetics. Brett has helped his clients develop comprehensive IP strategies and has been instrumental in a number of his clients gaining allowance of key foundational patents within their technology areas. He has advocated for his clients by testifying in front of the Senate Law and Justice Committee on issues relevant to the life sciences community and is currently working with the Greater Spokane Incorporated Health Industry Development Group.
