Yanek drafts and prosecutes patent applications in a variety of technology spaces including signal processing, machine-learning, blockchain, audio-visual processing and reproduction (e.g., sound simulation and synthesis), cloud/distributed computing, computer security, operating systems, and electromagnetic applications. In addition, Yanek provides litigation support primarily through patent analysis and is familiar with navigation of European and Japanese patent databases. Yanek served as an intern at Lee & Hayes 2008-2012 and as a patent agent and law clerk with the firm 2012-2015 before being admitted to the Washington State Bar and joining the firm as an attorney in 2015. Yanek enjoys athletic training and mentoring high school students in his spare time.
