Matt is an associate with the firm’s patent practice group. He advises clients on an assortment of intellectual property matters including the preparation and prosecution of patent applications across a wide variety technologies and industries.

During law school, Matt was an intern for an intellectual property law firm in London, England; a corporate counsel extern for Thor Industries in Elkhart, Indiana; an extern for the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in Seattle, Washington; and an intern for the University of Notre Dame’s Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic in South Bend, Indiana. He was also president of the Notre Dame Intellectual Property Law Society and a member of the Transactional LawMeet competition team.

Prior to joining Lee & Hayes, Matt was a systems integration analyst at Accenture focused on designing solutions relating to data migration, software testing, project management, and expert systems. While completing his undergraduate degree, he was a mechanical engineering intern for The Boeing Company in Renton, Washington and a manufacturing and ergonomics intern for BMW Manufacturing Company in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
