Rob has extensive experience drafting and negotiating intellectual property agreements, preparing intellectual property opinions, securing and enforcing patent, copyright and trademark assets, and performing intellectual property due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. Further, Rob has drafted and prosecuted patents for a variety of sophisticated clients with an emphasis on the mechanical arts such as automotive, aeronautical and defense technologies. Examples of his experience include providing the due diligence for a $950M corporate acquisition, regularly consulting on merger and acquisitions involving technology companies, and successfully arguing before the BPAI. Prior to attending law school, Rob managed Massey Automotive, the largest privately owned automotive repair facility in the Atlanta area. Here, Rob gained extensive hands-on mechanical, business, and management experience. In addition, Rob is actively engaged in public service efforts such as the Georgia Tech Bar Association, Habitat for Humanity, Ride for Kids, and the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
