Justen Fauth helps companies and inventors prepare and prosecute patent applications. He focuses his practice on patent portfolio development and client counseling in patent strategies in both the U.S. and foreign jurisdictions. Justen has prepared responses to office actions, appeal briefs, broadening and narrowing reissue applications, and divisional and continuation applications for patent families. He has extensive experience advising clients on electrical and electronics technologies and providing strategic counseling regarding licensing and intellectual property litigation matters.

Justen began his career as a nuclear engineer specializing in electrical systems at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS). After law school he spent three years at the US Patent and Trademark Office as a patent examiner and then moved to private practice, including at a national recognized Am Law 100 general practice firm. Through those positions he has supported organizations of all sizes and individual inventors with issues at all stages of patent development and enforcement.

Justen also enjoys spending time with his family, including many nieces and nephews of his three siblings, mostly located in and around the Pacific Northwest. He is an avid cyclist, hiker, skier, and climber and loves listening to, and playing, music.
