Kate helps clients develop targeted intellectual property strategies and obtain patents in a variety of different technological fields, such as telecommunications, semiconductor design and manufacturing, medical devices, and software.   

Before law school, Kate researched novel nanopore sequencing and therapeutic ultrasound technologies.  During law school, Kate served as Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Pacific Rim Law & Policy Journal.
