ZeMing has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in a variety of arts for hi-tech companies and national laboratories both in the US and on the PCT platform. He has also had extensive experiences in patentability, patent infringement/noninfringement analysis and opinion, and due diligence studies of patents, product design-around consultation in view of competitor's patents, IP asset evaluation and management, and licensing. He has also participated in patent litigation.
ZeMing's technical expertise includes a broad range of technologies such as semiconductor, computer products, Internet, electronics, software, telecommunication devices and systems, EDA, data storage devices and systems, memory devices, displays, sensors, microstructures, MEMS, optics, imaging technology, medical devices, chemicals, and biotechnology. He commands a solid understanding of nanotechnology, molecular electronics, bioinformatics, rational drug design, computational molecular dynamics and modeling, and other emerging new technologies. He has also studied the fundamental physics behind quantum computing, optics, and cryptography.
Prior to joining Lee & Hayes, ZeMing worked as a patent attorney in several IP specialty law firms including Kinney & Lange, PA, and Klarquist Sparkman, LLP.
