Heather has in-depth IP transactional experience and has represented clients in industries including consumer and business software, wireless content and applications, and e-commerce. She is well-versed in intellectual property, contracts and other commercial law topics, and has been responsible for complex projects in technology and content licensing, consulting, services, marketing, distribution, and manufacturing contracts. She has also performed IP due diligence and risk analysis for mergers, acquisitions and investment transactions, and has advised on the antitrust and competition law ramifications of international distribution arrangements.
Her industry experience includes previously serving as in-house counsel at Expedia, Inc., an online travel company, and as a member of the technology and IP department at Seattle-based K&L Gates (formerly Preston Gates & Ellis). Heather currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Chief Seattle Club.
