Eric advises clients in developing IP and licensing strategies and counsels clients in strategic development of their domestic and international intellectual property portfolios. He has experience drafting and prosecuting domestic and foreign patent applications and drafting and presenting non-infringement, invalidity and patentability opinions.
His scientific background in theoretical physics has allowed him to work with clients in diverse fields such as telecommunications, optics, mechanical and electronic devices, liquid crystal display devices, lasers, and global positioning systems. He has also represented clients in the fields of material sciences, battery technology, and energy/power distribution systems. He represents clients ranging from individual inventors and high-tech startups to large international corporations and prestigious research universities and institutions around the world.
Prior to joining Lee & Hayes, Eric worked at law firms in Atlanta, GA and Seattle, WA advising clients in developing IP, both domestically and internationally.
