Don is a member of the firm’s IP Counseling Group and brings his vast litigation experience to his clients’ IP matters, which lends valuable insight and perspective to every action he takes on behalf of his clients. His practice includes procurement and counseling on patent, trademark, and copyright matters. His experience also includes preparing and negotiating licenses and agreements relating to IP rights.
Don earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Maryland, College Park. After college, Don performed research at the Cardiovascular Pathology Department at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington D.C. and co-authored publications regarding vascular smooth muscle cell cytotoxicity and growth factor proteins. Don earned a law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and while in law school, clerked in the law office of Beehler & Pavitt. Prior to joining Lee & Hayes, Don practiced IP law at the firm of Belasco Jacobs & Townsley, LLP in Los Angeles.
Don is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, Korean American Bar Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association. Don is also fluent in Korean.
