Damon's practice focuses on preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical and computer arts. Additionally, he is a member of the firm's technology transactions and IP licensing practice.
Prior to beginning his legal career, he had worked at the headquarters of Best Buy Co., where he managed the creation of a labor management system which integrated industrial engineering principles and system design. Additionally, he has work experience in mechanical design at Motorola, and engineering research and development at a small medical device company.
At Lee & Hayes, Damon is a team lead of a small practice group that focus on preparation and prosecution of patents for some Fortune 500 companies. Outside of Lee & Hayes, Damon is active in the mountaineering community, participates in environment restoration through various volunteer activities, and is an avid cyclist.
