Prior to joining Lee & Hayes, patent attorney Benjamin Keim served as a Legal Intern for the USPTO, Intellectual Ventures, Apex Juris, and Nakamura & Partners in Tokyo. These experiences provided a wide range of exposure to the various facets of intellectual property which comes across when he is working with clients. Before commencing his legal career, Ben worked in laboratories at the University Washington, Children's Hospital in Seattle, and the Chemo-Sero-Therapeutic Research Institute in Japan. Ben participated in research focusing on genetics and infectious diseases including identification of drug-resistance in HIV, development of multivalent animal vaccines, and genotypic identification of pathogenic yeast.
